Denny BergDenny started building custom bikes in 1970 from his home in South Dakota. He migrated to Southern California in 1973, and opened his own shop, Rickey Racer, in 1975. Three years later he got involved in vintage restorations and building roadracers. In '86 he went to work for White Brothers Racing developing motocross suspensions and engines, and designing products for Harley-Davidsons. In 1991 he opened the Time Machine where he did vintage restorations, prototype designs and concept bikes for Cobra Engineering. In 1999 the Cobra Special Projects Division displayed Denny's customized Kawasaki Drifter at Dealer Expo and V-Twin Expo. Other custom creations have been included in the Art of the Motorcycle exhibit at the Guggenheim and the Rockefeller Center Motorcycle Show, while many more have been featured in motorcycle consumer magazines.
